THE BEAUTIFUL WAY FOUNDATION

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

For staging review; effective upon publication.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

The Beautiful Way Foundation (TBW) is a Massachusetts nonprofit organization. This policy explains how information is handled in connection with our informational website and messages you initiate here.

Separate donation platforms have their own privacy notices and terms. Any program participation or clinical research would require its own applicable notices and consent processes; a general website inquiry does not enroll you in a program or research activity.

2. Information you provide and technical information

Our contact form offers four pathways: Community Members, Funders, Potential Partners, and General Inquiries. You voluntarily enter your full name, email address, and message, choose a pathway, and acknowledge this policy. Depending on the pathway, you may also choose an interest or topic and add optional details such as neighborhood, organization, role, funding timeline, contribution focus, event, or accessibility and communication preferences. Please do not include health details in preferences.

The form is processed only in your browser. It prepares an email draft in your own email application that includes your answers for the selected pathway and, for routing, the page you came from. If you choose to copy the prepared message, it is placed on your device’s clipboard. The form does not submit, store, or track its content through a TBW website backend, analytics, or logs, and the website cannot confirm whether a draft was sent or received. TBW receives the message through its email system only if you choose to send it.

Your email application and provider handle the prepared message under their own terms and settings. If you open the email but do not send it, TBW does not receive it through this form.

Hosting and network infrastructure may process technical information, such as your IP address, browser, device information, pages accessed, and timestamps, to deliver, operate, and protect the website. Such information may be recorded in provider-managed logs.

We do not ask for payment card details, Social Security numbers, health information, or clinical eligibility details through general contact channels. Please do not include health or other sensitive information in your message.

3. How we use information

We use information we receive to answer questions, respond to partnership and philanthropic discussions you request, coordinate follow-up, operate our services, protect people and systems, and meet applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements.

Contacting us does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Any newsletter subscription would require a separate opt-in.

4. Donations and external platforms

Our donation links take you to TBW’s donation page. Our /donate page also embeds a Givebutter form. Loading that page makes third-party requests to Givebutter, which may process technical information and use cookies under its own notices. Givebutter is an external platform; donations and payment processing are handled by Givebutter and its payment providers, under their own terms and privacy notices. Payment card information is entered in Givebutter’s form, not collected by TBW’s website.

Givebutter may share donation records with TBW in accordance with its settings so that we can provide acknowledgments and maintain appropriate records. Please review Givebutter’s notices before donating.

5. Cookies, hosting, and third-party services

Website delivery and protection may involve necessary service logs and essential cookies provided by hosting or network services. The contact form uses no cookies, analytics, or tracking. Our website loads the Montserrat typeface through Google Fonts. Loading these fonts makes technical requests to Google, which may receive information such as your IP address and browser request details.

We do not sell contact information or use it for targeted advertising through this website. Any future nonessential tracking will require review, an updated notice, and consent where applicable. Links to other websites lead to services with their own privacy practices.

6. How information may be shared

We limit access to inquiry information to TBW people who need it to respond or carry out relevant responsibilities. Hosting and email vendors may process information to provide their services. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, protect safety, or address fraud and security concerns. We do not sell your contact information.

7. Retention

We retain inquiry information as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain relevant records, and meet applicable requirements. Retention depends on the nature of the inquiry and our legal and operational responsibilities. Technical log retention is managed by the relevant service providers under their practices and settings.

8. Security

We use reasonable protective measures appropriate to the information we handle. No website, email service, or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Our general inbox is not a channel for health information or other sensitive records; please contact us first if you need guidance on an appropriate way to communicate.

9. Children’s privacy

This website is not intended to collect personal information directly from children under 13. A parent or guardian should contact us on a child’s behalf. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please let us know so we can address it appropriately.

10. Your rights and choices

You choose whether to enter information, open an email, and send it. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you where applicable. We will consider requests under relevant laws and may need to confirm your identity or retain records required by law. These requests do not automatically remove records controlled by your own email provider or other independent services.

11. Policy updates and contact

We will date revisions to this policy when our practices change. If a direct-submission contact service is introduced, this policy will be updated to explain how that service receives, processes, and retains form content before it is used.
